Cybit Launch Customer Driven Major New Functionality for Fleetstar Fleet Tracking

Cybit, the UK’s leading Telematics Service Provider, has announced major new upgrades to its Fleetstar-Online fleet and asset management solution.

Fleetstar now incorporates an 'industry-first' Dynamic Timesheet that graphically represents the working day as it happens. This allows enhanced management of a fleet by graphically displaying times spent moving, stopped, stopped at job, at base, idling or at unauthorised locations.

For the first-time in the industry, user-friendly visibility of the entire fleet is available on a single screen. Automatic and instant availability of top-level reports and operational data allows managers to react to exceptions in real-time. Fleetstar's user interfaces and email reporting structures have also been upgraded to provide easier access and extraction of information. These upgrades include a fully configurable management screen and quicker navigation through intuitive and comprehensive ‘right-click’ menus.

The graphical timesheet also displays planned jobs to enable customers that integrate job management, scheduling and planning into Fleetstar to have real-time vision of planned versus actual progress. This new feature makes it easier to allocate resources to new jobs and manage by exception, should planned schedules overrun.

Fleetstar-Online is Cybit’s scalable Internet-based telematics solution that features real-time vehicle tracking, exception reporting, replay mode, customised reports, mileage information, SMS messaging and live traffic information. Fleet vehicles are fitted with a small electronic in-vehicle-unit, which is tracked by GPS in real-time and then transmits data to Cybit’s online control centre. It offers users anytime, anywhere access to the system via a standard web browser.
