Cybit Integrates Satellite Navigation Software with Fleet Job Management to Provide Dynamic Job Scheduling

Cybit, the UK's leading online Telematics Service Provider (TSP), has announced a partnership with navigation software provider CoPilot to integrate its best-of-breed satellite navigation functionality into Cybit's state-of-the-art Fleetstar-MRM solution. Mobile workers who receive job information on their PDA can now, for the first time, request a route to their destination and get instant access to maps, directions, and live traffic updates. Fleetstar will dynamically integrate ETA information - calculated and updated automatically - to enable managers to monitor arrival times and react to any delay outside acceptable tolerance zones.

The CoPilot navigation software will be fully integrated with the Fleetstar Mobile Resource Management module to provide seamless and immediate exchange of business-critical information between the back-office, mobile employees and customers. This real-time, automated collaboration, combined with the integrated ETA updates, helps organisations improve operational effectiveness of the mobile workforce through the downstream management and organisation of workflows and improve customer service levels by managing customer expectations.

"Integrating satellite navigation data into our product offering will add value to our proven technology - accurate job management and ETA information enables businesses to quickly identify problems and re-route engineers as needed. Partnering with companies that have the experience and expertise of CoPilot allows us be at the forefront in the evolution of total telematics solutions that precisely meet the needs of the user," commented Cybit's Chief Executive Officer Richard Horsman. "Fleetstar-MRM automates many business-critical processes to make them more efficient. Organisations will now have fingertip access to a wider range of business-relevant information, all from a single source, which will enhance both visibility and efficiency."

"Cybit maintains an open approach to the telematics market, and we have developed a number of best-of-breed partnerships throughout the past couple of years, all to ensure that the solution we can offer to our customers has the functionality that they need. As businesses mature and require more from their technology, it is the requirement of market leaders to develop new, innovative and relevant offers to meet those needs," continued Richard Horsman.

Fleetstar-MRM is Cybit's scalable Internet-based fleet and asset management solution that provides organisations with precisely the level of telematics functionality they require, while also ensuring an easy upgrade path so that it can evolve to meet changing business needs. Fleet vehicles are fitted with a small electronic in-vehicle-unit (IVU) that is tracked by GPS in real-time and then transmits data to Cybit's online control centre. It provides companies with a cost-effective ASP-based fleet management solution, which offers users anytime, anywhere access to the system via a standard web browser.
